Are first-month promo deals worth it for dedicated servers?

I've seen many providers offering steep first-month discounts, but I wonder if it's just to lure clients into longer-term plans.
Anyone here used such offers and stayed? Can you give feedbacks on NetShop-isp.com.cy dedicated hosting solutions? What host is better from your views?

Hi, offering a discount for the first month is good on the one hand, but on the other hand, the client may be unhappy that the server will have to pay a higher price later, so it's better to come up with another type of discount, for example, if the client pays for 3 months, he gets a permanent discount for this server.
