That's a really good question. On one hand, owning your own server has both pros and cons, but personally, I believe the cons outweigh the pros.

If you want to build your own server, you will need a well-ventilated room, a constant power source, a rack for the server, server components, spare parts in case of failures, and two different internet providers to ensure backup connectivity in case one goes down. Would you consider this a pro or a con?

In general, personal servers are only necessary for large companies. It’s usually better to rent servers from hosting providers because they take responsibility for maintaining and managing the hardware. For example, we own our own data centers and take full responsibility for our servers. If your server goes down due to a technical issue, and it's not your fault, we provide a replacement server. Overall, hosting providers offer more benefits.
