$15,385 Dispute With Bets.io Grew Into A Broader Investigation

What began as a single player's $15,385 dispute with Bets.io grew into a broader investigation — and the deeper we dug, the more questions surfaced about the company behind the platform. According to the player, Bets.io accepted their KYC, allowed them to use the site, then closed their account and kept the money. They brought the case to Casino Guru expecting an independent mediator to help, but say they were left without a clear explanation or a satisfactory resolution.

Other cases came to light as well. A Bitcointalk report describes a $20,000 USDC deposit, about $6,000 returned, and roughly $14,000 allegedly confiscated without sufficient evidence. A separate 3 BTC "Gold Wheel" dispute involves a player who claims the wheel landed on a larger prize, says they had video proof, and yet received only a smaller USDT payout.

We cannot verify every detail, but multiple large disputes prompted a look at the corporate ties around Bets.io. Roman Bespalov's name stood out. Public professional-history information reportedly places him at Alpha Affiliates in 2021, at Bets.io as Acting Head of Affiliates from December 2023 to April 2024, and then back at Alpha as Team Lead and later Head of Affiliates.

Alpha → Bespalov → Bets.io → Bespalov → Alpha. That alone does not prove Alpha controlled Bets.io or that Bespalov took part in any confiscation, but it deserves scrutiny — particularly since Alpha was previously publicly linked to owning Bets.io. And what happened between those earlier ownership claims and the current TESSERA LIMITED S.R.L. structure in Costa Rica? Who owns TESSERA? How does it relate to Alpha Affiliates? How are the brands and people connected?

These are fair questions, not baseless accusations. Bets.io and the entities behind it should be willing to answer them. This is about more than $15,385. There is still no clear reason why the funds were withheld. After finding other reported disputes and the apparent Alpha/Bets.io personnel connection, we believe potential players deserve to know who is actually behind the platform and who is accountable when something goes wrong. If Bets.io thinks the funds were withheld correctly, it should state the specific reason, the applicable terms, and the evidence.
