Relying solely on your hosting provider’s backups is risky—having your own backups gives you full control and peace of mind. Always double up to protect your business!

Real talk - trusting your host’s backups is like trusting a roommate to pay rent. It might work… until it doesn’t.
I’ve seen too many restores fail, configs vanish, or ransomware wipe everything including the “safe” backups. Not fun. Do yourself a solid - run your own offsite backups, test them, and don’t assume anything. If you're lazy, at least verify what your host offers. Ask for a test restore. See how deep their retention goes.
